PENGARUH KOMPETENSI TERHADAP PRODUKTIVITAS KERJA PADA DEPARTEMEN HOUSEKEEPING DI HOTEL SELYCA MULIA SAMARINDA --Ed. 1

ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kompetensi terhadap
produktivitas kerja pada departemen housekeeping di Hotel Selyca Mulia
Samarinda. Kompetensi menjadi salah satu dasar bagi sumber daya manusia
dalam melakukan suatu pekerjaan. Dengan memiliki kompetensi yang baik, maka
akan meningkatnya produktivitas kerja yang baik nantinya. Produktivitas kerja
karyawan adalah hal terpenting untuk menentukan apakah perusahaan tersebut
efektif atau tidak. Pada penelitian ini digunakan metode penelitian kualitatif
dengan menggunakan pendekatan observasi dan wawancara. Populasi yang
digunakan, yaitu seluruh karyawan departemen housekeeping di Hotel Selyca
Mulia Samarinda yang berjumlah 13 orang karyawan. Sampel yang digunakan
hanya 2 orang, yaitu manajer departemen housekeeping di Hotel Selyca Mulia
Samarinda. Maka melalui penelitian ini dapat diketahui bahwa kompetensi sangat
berpengaruh terhadap produktivitas kerja karyawan pada departemen
housekeeping di Hotel Selyca Mulia Samarinda. Beberapa faktor yang
memengaruhi produktivitas kerja seseorang, diantaranya adalah pengetahuan,
keterampilan, kemampuan, sikap, dan minat.

ABSTRACT
This research aims to determine the influence of competence on work productivity
in the housekeeping department at Selyca Mulia Samarinda Hotel. Competence is
one of the basics for human resources in doing a job. By having good competence,
it will increase good work productivity later. Employee work productivity is the
most important thing to determine whether the company is effective or not. In this
study, qualitative research methods are used and using observation and interview
approaches. The population used, namely all employees of the housekeeping
department at Selyca Mulia Samarinda Hotel which amounted to 13 employees.
The sample used was only 2 people, namely the manager of housekeeping
department. So through this research it can be known that competence greatly
affects employee work productivity in the housekeeping department at Selyca
Mulia Samarinda Hotel. Several factors that affect a person’s work productivity,
including knowledge, skills, abilities, attitudes, and interest.
