proksimat batubara teraktivasi diperoleh kadar air 1,64%, kadar abu 4,1973%,
volatile matter 24,1061% dan fixed karbon 69,7071. Semua analisa proksimat
batubara teraktivasi sudah sesuai standar SNI 06-3735-1995. Untuk mengetahui
daya jerap dilakukan uji standar iod diperoleh hasil 695,3078 mg/g .Uji daya jerap
iod belum memenuhi standar SNI 06-3735-1995 sebesar minimum 750 mg/g.

    Abstract
Waste from engine oil is included in B3 waste which needs special
handling, for example by adsorption method. The purpose of this study was to
determine the effect of stirring times on aluminum adsorption using activated low
rank coal. Physical activation of coal was conducted at 700 oC for 2 hours and
chemically by dissolving in 2.5 M H3PO4 – NaHCO3 for 6 hours. The process of
adsorption of used oil at various stirring times of 30 minutes, 60 minutes, 90
minutes, 120 minutes and 150 minutes. The mass of activated low rank coal used
to adsorb aluminum in used oil is 31.5975 grams. The results of the proximate
analysis of activated coal obtained water content of 1.64%, ash content of
4.1973%, volatile matter of 24.1061% , and fixed carbon of 69.7071. All activated
coal proximate analyzes were in accordance with SNI 06-3735-1995 standards.
To determine the adsorption capacity, the standard iodine test was carried out
and the result was 695.3078 mg/g. The iodine adsorption test did not meet the
standard of SNI 06-3735-1995 at a minimum of 750 mg/g. The results of
adsorption of aluminum content with activated coal adsorbent obtained an
optimum stirring time of 30 minutes with a concentration of 13 ppm aluminum
    metal, a density of 0.8368 gr/ml and a viscosity of 84.973 cP.
