1527.51 kg. Nilai stabilitas marshall sisa didapatkan sebesar 97.94%, untuk metode
PRD didapatkan nilai Desnsity = 2.36 gr/cc.

ABSTRACT
Asphalt Concrete-Binder Course (AC-BC) is a layer of road pavement that is under
the wearing course and above the base course or referred to as the intermediate
layer. The use of laterite stone as a substitute for coarse aggregate and the addition
of plastic sacks as an added material to the AC-BC mixture can affect the properties
of asphalt concrete mixtures, especially hardness, sensitivity to temperature and
peeling. This study aims to determine the use of laterite stone as a substitute for
coarse aggregate with plastic sack added material in the AC-BC mixture against
marshall characteristics and refusal density. The marshall test specimen is made
with 50% laterite stone as a substitute for coarse aggregate and the addition of
plastic sacks with variations of 4%, 4.5%, 5%, 5.5% and 6% to the weight of asphalt
mixed by dry process method. Testing the durability of asphalt at 24-hour
immersion and testing the Percentage Refusal Density (PRD) in the AC-BC mixture.
Based on the test results, the optimum asphalt content was 5.5% with a stability
value = 1392.62 kg and an optimum plastic content of 5% was obtained with a
stability value = 1527.51 kg. The residual marshall stability value was obtained
at 97.94%, for the PRD method the value of Desnsity = 2.36 gr/cc was obtained.
The use of laterite stone as a substitute has an impact on the use of local materials
available in East Kalimantan and the use of plastic sack waste greatly impacts the
processing of plastic waste that is difficult to decompose naturally.
