ANALISA KERUSAKAN KOMPONEN OIL PUMP PADA ENGINE C15 CATERPILLAR --Ed. 1

ABSTRAK
Oil Pump adalah salah satu komponen penting dari engine. Agar engine bisa
bekerja dengan maksimal dikarenakan adanya oli yang melumasinya. Oil Pump
atau pompa oli berfungsi mengubah energi mekanis menjadi energi hirolik,
kemudian pompa menyuplai dan memberikan tekanan pada aliran oli yang
memadai ke sistem pelumasan engine sehingga semua komponennya dapat
bekerja dengan baik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah, dengan
melakukan prosedur pemeriksaan secara inspeksi visual dan pengukuran terhadap
komponen oil pump pada engine C15 Caterpillar serta membandingkan hasil
pemeriksaaan data secara visual dengan GRPTS componen oil pump dari engine
C-15 yang diperoleh dari lapangan. Untuk mengetahui kondisi oil pump, secara
detail melalui pemeriksaan visual komponen oil pump yang nantinya akan
dibandingkan dengan GRPTS apakah masih sesuai dengan spesifikasi dari
literature. Tujuannya untuk mengetahui kondisi dari oil pump tersebut, inspeksi
visual dilakukan untuk menganalisa penyebab terjadinya kerusakan komponen dan
pengukuran dilakukan untuk menentukan pergantian atau penggunaan kembali
komponen tersebut. Berdasarkan pemeriksaan secara visual dan data yang
diperoleh beberapa kerusakan komponen pada oil pump yakni pada part gear oil
pump, dapat ditarik beberapa kesimpulan penyebab kerusakan dari oil pump
dikarenakan fluida (oli ) yang terkontaminasi dan kemudian tercampur oleh debu
sehingga merusak bagian component dari oli pump seperti menyebabkan
component gear terkena erosi. Hasil pengukuran pada oil pump komponennya
masih sesuai dengan spesifikasi tetapi karena Caterpillar menyarankan jika ada
komponen yang harus di inspect tiga bagian, apabila salah satu bagian saja sudah
mengalami kegagalan, jangan digunakan kembali maka bagian yang lain tidak
perlu di inspect.Untuk mengatasi kerusakan, ganti segera komponen yang telah
melewati spesifikasi dan mengalami keausan.

ABSTRACT
Oil Pump is one of the important components of the engine. So that the engine can work
optimally due to the oil that lubricates it. Oil Pump or oil pump functions to convert
mechanical energy into hierlic energy, then the pump supplies and pressurizes adequate oil
flow to the engine lubrication system so that all components can work properly. . The method
used in this study was to perform visual inspection procedures and measurements of oil pump
components on Caterpillar C15 engines and compare the results of visual data checks with
GRPTS componen oil pumps from C-15 engines obtained from the field. To find out the
condition of the oil pump, in detail through visual examination of the oil pump components
which will later be compared with GRPTS whether it is still in accordance with the
specifications of the literature. The goal is to determine the condition of the oil pump, visual
inspection is carried out to analyze the cause of component damage and measurements are
carried out to determine the replacement or reuse of the component. Based on visual
examination and data obtained some component damage to the oil pump, namely the oil pump
gear part, several conclusions can be drawn about the cause of damage from the oil pump due
to contaminated fluid (oil) and then mixed with dust so that it damages the component parts
of the oil pump such as causing gear components to erode. The measurement results on the oil
pump components are still in accordance with specifications but because Caterpillar
recommends that if there are components that must be inspected in three parts, if one part has
failed, do not reuse then the other parts do not need to be inspected. To overcome damage,
immediately replace components that have passed specifications and are subject to wear.
