ABSTRAK

UNIT WHEEL LOADER 914G CATERPILLAR”. Tugas Akhir Teknik Alat Berat
Diploma III Politeknik Negeri Samarinda.
Performance hidrolik adalah faktor penting dalam operasi dan kinerja unit
wheel loader 914G Caterpillar. Wheel loader adalah mesin konstruksi yang
digunakan untuk memindahkan material seperti tanah, kerikil, atau batu di lokasi
konstruksi. Sistem hidrolik dalam unit wheel loader bertanggung jawab untuk
menggerakkan bucket, mengangkat beban, dan memberikan daya yang diperlukan
untuk berbagai tugas.
Dalam penelitian ini, akan dilakukan pengujian terhadap performa hidrolik
pada unit wheel loader 914G Caterpillar. Data yang dikumpulkan akan digunakan
untuk memahami karakteristik hidrolik, mengidentifikasi masalah potensial, dan
mengusulkan solusi untuk meningkatkan performa hidrolik. Dengan memahami
dan meningkatkan performa hidrolik pada unit wheel loader 914G Caterpillar,
diharapkan dapat meningkatkan efisiensi operasional, produktivitas, dan keamanan
dalam penggunaan wheel loader ini. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting
bagi pemahaman lebih lanjut tentang performa hidrolik pada unit wheel loader
Caterpillar dan dapat menjadi landasan untuk peningkatan teknologi dan
pengembangan masa depan.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa performa hidrolik unit wheel loader
914G Caterpillar sangat mempengaruhi efisiensi dan produktivitas operasional.
Tekanan hidrolik yang optimal dan aliran hidrolik yang sesuai memungkinkan unit
wheel loader untuk mengangkat dan memuat material dengan efisiensi tinggi.
Selain itu, faktor-faktor lain seperti kebocoran hidrolik, keausan komponen, dan
kerusakan sistem hidrolik juga dapat mempengaruhi performa hidrolik secara
negatif. Oleh karena itu, pemeliharaan rutin dan perawatan sistem hidrolik sangat
penting untuk memastikan performa yang optimal dari unit wheel loader 914G
Caterpillar.

Hydraulic performance is an important factor in the operation and
performance of the Caterpillar 914G wheel loader unit. A wheel loader is a
construction machine that is used to move materials such as earth, gravel or stones
on a construction site. The hydraulic system in the wheel loader unit is responsible
for driving the bucket, lifting the load and providing the power needed for various
tasks.
In this study, a hydraulic performance test will be carried out on the 914G
Caterpillar wheel loader unit. The data collected will be used to understand
hydraulic characteristics, identify potential problems, and propose solutions to
improve hydraulic performance. By understanding and improving the hydraulic
performance of the Caterpillar 914G wheel loader unit, it is expected to increase
operational efficiency, productivity and safety in the use of this wheel loader. This
research makes an important contribution to further understanding the hydraulic
performance of Caterpillar wheel loader units and can form the basis for future
technology improvements and developments.
The results showed that the hydraulic performance of the Caterpillar 914G
wheel loader unit greatly affected operational efficiency and productivity. Optimum
hydraulic pressure and proper hydraulic flow allow the wheel loader unit to lift and
load materials with high efficiency. In addition, other factors such as hydraulic
leaks, component wear and hydraulic system damage can negatively affect
hydraulic performance. Therefore, regular maintenance and maintenance of the
hydraulic system is essential to ensure optimal performance of the Caterpillar 914G
wheel loader unit.
