MODIFIKASI PERANCANGAN ALAT BAJAK SINGKAL KULTIVATOR PADA MEKANISASI PERKEBUNAN --

ABSTRAK
Sektor pertanian berperan penting dalam meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat.
Pertanian secara luas meliputi perikanan, peternakan, kehutanan, hortikultura,
perkebunan dan lain-lain. Kultivator adalah alat dan mesin pertanian maupun
perkebunan yang digunakan untuk pengolahan tanah sekunder. Kultivator berfungsi
mengaduk dan menghancurkan gumpalan tanah yang besar, sebelum penanaman
(untuk mengaerasi tanah) maupun setelah benih atau bibit tertanam (untuk
membunuh gulma). Kultivator quick cakar baja hanya dapat digunakan pada lahan
kering saja. Sistem kerjanya dengan mencacah tanah menjadi bagian-bagian kecil
sehingga struktur tanah menjadi lebih gembur. Traktor roda dua merupakan alat
pengolah tanah utama saat ini. Traktor roda dua ini digunakan untuk mengolah
tanah pada tahap pertama sehingga siap untuk ditanami.

ABSTRACT
The agricultural sector plays an important role in improving the community's
economy. Agriculture broadly includes fisheries, animal husbandry, forestry,
horticulture, plantations and others. Cultivator is an agricultural or plantation tool
and machine used for secondary soil processing. The cultivator functions to stir and
destroy large lumps of soil, before planting (to aerate the soil) or after the seeds or
seedlings have been planted (to kill weeds). Steel claw quick cultivator can only be
used on dry land only. The system works by chopping the soil into small pieces so
that the soil structure becomes more friable. The two-wheeled tractor is the main
earthmoving tool today. This two-wheeled tractor is used to cultivate the land in the
first stage so that it is ready for planting.
