DAN PELEPAH KELAPA SAWIT

ABSTRAK
Hampir semua negara di daerah tropis yang memiliki industri pengolahan kayu.
Industri yang paling diminati salah satunya adalah industri kayu yang bisa
diinovasikan dengan produk gaya hidup, salah satunya lampu hias. Sejalan dengan
program pemerintah daerah yang menegaskan bahwa saat ini tidak ada lagi bahan
mentah yang keluar dari daerah Kalimantan Timur, tetapi harus dalam bentuk produk
jadi yang bernilai tinggi, maka pengolahan lampu hias dari limbah multiplek dan
pelepah kelapa sawit sebagai lampu hias kayu atau produk yang berwawasan
lingkungan dinilai efektif. Disamping karena limbah multiplek dan pelepah kelapa
sawit yang mudah didapat, maka lampu hias yang bahannya berasal dari limbah
multiplek yang di kombinasikan dengan pelepah kelapa sawit dapat menjadi produk
yang bernilai tinggi. Dalam proses perancangan ini menggunakan metode model
Vinod Ghoel yang meliputi perumusan masalah, tinjauan pustaka, analisis data,
analisis desain, pengembangan alternatif desain serta desain akhir yang meliputi
gambar teknik, 3D modelling, prototype, portfolio dan poster. Perancangan ini
menghasilkan sebuah produk berupa lampu hias dari limbah multiplek dan pelepah
kelapa sawit yang memiliki nilai jual tinggi.

ABSRACT
Almost all countries in the tropics have a wood processing industry. One of the
industries that is most in demand is the wood industry, which can be innovated with
lifestyle products, one of which is decorative lighting. In line with the local
government program which emphasizes that currently there are no more raw
materials coming out of the East Kalimantan area, but must be in the form of a
finished product of high value, the processing of decorative lamps from multiplex
waste and palm fronds as wooden decorative lamps or other products
environmentally sound is considered effective. Apart from the fact that multiplex
waste and oil palm fronds are easy to obtain, decorative lamps whose materials are
derived from multiplex waste combined with oil palm fronds can become high-value
products. In this design process using the Vinod Ghoel model method which includes
problem formulation, literature review, data analysis, design analysis, development
of alternative designs and the final design which includes technical drawings, 3D
modeling, prototypes, portfolios and posters. This design produces a product in the
form of decorative lights from multiplex waste and palm fronds that have a high
selling value
