Abstrak


Pemanfaatan limbah untuk dijadikan sesuatu seperti barang produk yang dihasilkan oleh para kalangan masyarakat yang memiliki usaha atau produksi sendiri akan mendapatkan keuntungan dan jasa yang baik. Limbah yang dipilih untuk membuat tas selempang ini adalah tempurung dan sabut kelapa. Dilihat dari pengolahan material tempurung kelapa dan sabut kelapa yang masih kurang terekspos dalam memproduksi tas selempang baik pengguna remaja maupun dewasa. Tas selempang ini adalah sebuah tas yang mempunyai handle tas dan mempunyai sling bag atau strap bahu yang memanjang dengan guna untuk digantungkan di bagu bagi pemakainya. Tas yang akan dibuat adalah kombinasi dengan bahan tempurung dan sabut kelapa. Tujuan dari perancangan tas tersebut adalah untuk menghasilkan desain tas yang menarik dan estetika pada tampilan tas ini mempunyai unsur bentuk tersendiri karena berkat bantuan dari kombinasi bahan tempurung dan sabut kelapa. Dengan metode perancangan dari Vinod Ghoel yang terdiri dari tiga tahap yaitu pleriminary design, design development, final design dan development dengan langkah awal mulai dari perumusan masalah, menganalisis desain alternatife sampai ke pengembangan desain, hingga muncul desain akhir. Tas selempang dengan elemen estetis dari bahan tempurung dan sabut kelapa selain mempunyai bentuk estetik juga menghasilkan gaya eklektik yang akan dikombinasikan dari unsur bahan dasar menjadi bahan ontentik yang bernilai. Tas yang akan dirancang adalah berupa bentuk tas model messenger bag.

Abstract


The utilization of waste to make something like a product item produced by people who have their own business or production will get good profits and services. The waste chosen to make this sling bag is coconut shell and coir. Judging from the processing of coconut shell and coconut fiber materials that are still less exposed in producing sling bags for both teen and adult users. This sling bag is a bag that has a bag handle and has a sling bag or shoulder strap that extends in order to be hung on the bagu for the wearer. The bag to be made is a combination of shell and coconut fiber. The purpose of designing the bag is to produce an attractive and aesthetic bag design on the appearance of this bag has its own shape elements due to the help of a combination of shell and coconut fiber materials. With the design method from Vinod Ghoel which consists of three stages, namely pleriminary design, design development, final design and development with the initial steps starting from problem formulation, analyzing alternative designs to design development, until the final design appears. A sling bag with aesthetic elements from coconut shell and coir material in addition to having an aesthetic form also produces an eclectic style that will be combined from basic material elements into valuable authentic materials. The bag to be designed is in the form of a messenger bag model.
