DESAIN TAS SELEMPANG WANITA DENGAN KULIT
SINTETIS DAN LIMBAH KAIN BROKAT

Abstrak
Tas ini adalah tas selempang yang menggunakan bahan dasar utama kulit
sintetis dan limbah kain brokat yang sudah diolah melalui beberapa
teknik sehingga layak menjadi ornamen atau penghias tas nantinya.
Tujuan dari perancangan ini adalah untuk menghasilkan desain tas yang
berbeda yang terbuat dari kulit sintetis dan limbah kain brokat, nantinya
bagian limbah brokat ini akan diolah menjadi element estetis sehingga
menghasilkan produk yang berbeda dari sebelumnya. Rata- rata tas
menjadi produk yang sangat diminati oleh seluruh kalangan. Umumnya
tas selempang terbuat dari kulit, kanvas dan rotan, hanya saja masih
menggunakan material yang umum dan baru sehingga banyak limbah
kain yang terbuang sia sia. Metode perancangan ini menggunakan
beberapa proses yaitu dengan mencari eksisting tas yang sama lalu
membuat beberapa sketsa tas, setelah itu membuat kuisoner untuk
mengetahui minat pasar terhadap produk yang telah dirancang, lalu
setelah mendapatkan hasil kuisoner tersebut dibuatlah produk tas tersebut.
Melalui hasil dari proses desain tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahan
limbah atau bahan sisa dapat mengasilkan suatu produk yang memiliki
kualitas yang tidak kalah bagus dengan tas berbahan baru dengan

menggunakan konsep reuse. Luaran desain tas ini menggunakan bahan
utama kulit sintetis dan limbah kain brokat sebagai element estetik.

Abstrak
This bag is a sling bag that uses the main ingredients of synthetic leather and
brocade fabric waste that has been processed through several techniques so that
it is worthy of being an ornament or decoration of the bag later. The purpose of
this design is to produce different bag designs made of synthetic leather and
brocade fabric waste, later this brocade waste will be processed into aesthetic
elements so as to produce different products from before. The average bag is a
product that is in great demand by all circles. Generally, sling bags are made of
leather, canvas and rattan, but they still use common and new materials so that a
lot of fabric waste is wasted. This design method uses several processes, namely
by looking for the same existing bag and then making several sketches of the bag,
after that making a questionnaire to find out market interest in the product that
has been designed, then after getting the results of the questionnaire, the bag
product is made. Through the results of the design process, it can be concluded
that waste materials or residual materials can produce a product that has a
quality that is no less good than bags made of new material using the reuse
concept. The outer design of this bag uses synthetic leather as the main material
and brocade fabric waste as aesthetic elements.
