Abstract
The bell becomes an important thing in every home. When a visitor
arrives, the bell rings which is generated from the electric bell. In a house that is
quite large, it is not uncommon for the occupants of the house not to hear the
sound of the bell because the sound is only heard around the place where the bell
is installed. This study aims to detect the presence of living objects that cause the
buzzer switch to be eliminated, making it easier for visitors to notify the host of
their presence using a PIR sensor. This tool operates by detecting human
movement as far as a distance of 4 meters with angles of 0, 45, 75 and 90 degrees
as well as vertical and horizontal directions. This is indicated by the output signal
from the sensor of 3.5 volts DC which can be used to provide a signal so that if
movement is detected, the buzzer sounds and the red LED lights up. For animals
such as cats can only be detected as far as 3 meters. Meanwhile, plant movement
was not detected. Ringing Bell System prototype design programmed and
controlled by Arduino Uno. For future researchers, the circuit used should be
packaged more neatly in form which more safe, so that its use is more effective
and placed in a place that is easily accessible and makes it easier for guests who
come.
