    Abstract
    Wahyu Nasrullah, 2021. Analysis of the Causes of the Generator Cooling System
    Disturbance on the KMT Sriwijaya Ship Engineering Study Program. Rusman, ST,
    MT, MM as supervisor I and M. Adham S.Kom., M.Si as supervisor II. Generator
    Engine Cooling System is a medium that serves to absorb heat. The heat is obtained
    from the combustion of fuel in the cylinder. The cooling system on the engine is
    made so that the engine can work at a specified temperature after the engine is
    started, and keep the engine working at the working temperature. The engine
    cooling system uses the principles of heat transfer by conduction, convection and
    radiation. This study aims to determine the occurrence of the sea chest pump not
    functioning normally and resulting in an increase in hot temperatures in the
    generator cooling system on the KMT Sriwijaya ship. This research was carried out
    on the SPOB KMT Sriwijaya ship. Why is there an increase in the coolant
    temperature in the generator? After I did an inspection in the engine room, assisted
    by the head of the engine room (kkm), it turned out that the cause of the increase in
    the temperature of the cooling system was due to the damage to the pump, the sea
    chest has impeller experienced dexterity in the rotating shaft. After I calculated
    using excel, the accurate data was calculated through regression.
