PERAWATAN PADA KELISTRIKAN STEERING GEAR KAPAL RATU ZAINAB PT. BAROKAH GALANGAN PERKASA SAMARINDA --

ABSTRACT
Talking about shipping there must be a lot to review. Starting from how to
operate the ship, maintain the ship, repair the ship when there is damage, what to
do when something happens in the middle of the trip. One of them that is of
concern is how to take care of the electrical components of the steering gear on
the ship. Why is it a special concern, because if there is a slight error in the
electrical component of the steering gear, the ship will not be able to operate
properly. Therefore, it requires its own expertise to be able to overcome these
problems.
This study reviews and discusses maintenance on problems that arise in
the electrical steering gear of the Ratu Zainab ship. The results of the research
obtained are maintenance on the electric steering gear for steering electrical
problems that occur, namely maintenance on the rudder angle indicator that has
an error, maintenance on the solenoid valve which has caused no response from
the hydraulic part when the joystick is moved, maintenance on the limit witch
steering gear that must be done to limit the movement or rotation of the rudder.
