PERENCANAAN HOTEL WISATA DI SAMARINDA PENEKANAN PADA PENDINGINAN PASIF BANGUNAN --

ABSTRACT
This tourist hotel will be intended for all elements of the Samarinda
community, taking into account the passive cooling approach of the building
using the ventilation method, the shading method, the evaporation method, and
the surrounding environment cooling method. The ventilation method is in the
form of a fixed eggcrate in the southern part of the building, and vertical vins in
the western part of the building to reduce the entry of sunlight but still circulate
air from the evaporation (swimming pool) ventilation method using painted iron
material to look like wood panels. Shadowing methods are used such as canopies
and hotel room balconies. The cooling method of the surrounding environment in
question is the use of shade and decorative vegetation around the planning site,
which can reduce the temperature by 2-4? C. The evaporation method helps cool
the air temperature by utilizing the evaporation of water from the swimming pool
to the vents in the western part of the building. Hotel Tourism planning will also
emphasize the Contemporary Industrial style referring to the Andra Matin style
which has characteristics in terms of open space, a site that follows the existing
contours, unfinished materials, in the form of plastered walls, floors using floor
hardeners, the use of iron as decorative. And this style is closer to natural lighting
in the north, south and east of the building. It is hoped that the preparation of this
planning report can be input and learning for the community in terms of the
concept of passive cooling of buildings and the application of the industrial
architectural style promoted by Andra Matin.
