ABSTRACT

With the population in Samarinda, the population density has also increased, a lot of land is used for housing and settlement areas, which has an impact on the amount of vacant land used for development. With so many people who have residences that are not livable in terms of architectural style and circulation paths in these residences. Because rusunami are multi-storey buildings or vertical buildings that are built in an environment that is divided into functionally structured parts, it is an alternative that can be chosen for the development of residential areas that do not use a lot of land. In terms of design, the Bauhaus architectural style introduced the concept of "form following function" which has a geometric shape and is also simple, so a design that does not use too many ornaments will produce a simple but still attractive facade. The use of linear circulation can be one of the most appropriate circulation patterns to be used in rusunami because the pattern is simple and can make it easier for residents.
