ABSTRACT
This chair is specially designed for workers or students who want to be active at hometodo of ice work or school work by using the additional aesthetic element of the SamarindaSarong on the back. The lack of application of additional tables on lounge chairs makessome workers or students feel less relaxed when doing their work, thereforeamultifunctional lounge chair is designed with aesthetic elements of Samarindasarongs. Not only as a relaxing chair, but also a place to work or study, with the additionof anaesthetic element, the samarinda sarong is expected to promote the typical workcommodities of East Kalimantan, especially Samarinda. This research was conductedthrough the literature stage which was obtained from internet sources and book referencesfor field data in the form of questionnaires. And also through existing processes, alternative designs, model making, and prototyping. In the design of this multifunctional
chair frame using a combination of wood and iron materials by welding and bolting, forthe back part using foam with an outer layer of synthetic leather which is combinedbyasamarinda sarong by overlapping stitches, through this stage of the design processalounge chair design can be produced. multifunctional with aesthetic elementsof
