ESAIN TAS KASUAL DARI KANVAS BERAKSEN ULAP DOYO UNTUK REMAJA LAKI-LAKI --

ABSTRACT
Indonesia has a variety of traditional woven fabrics with unique characteristics. One of
these traditional textile products is Ulap Doyo weaving. The preservation of Ulap Doyo
Weaving in this day and age has begun to be in demand by people in the country and
from abroad, but there are still many people who do not know Ulap Doyo Weaving,
especially among young people. The purpose of designing this product is how to
introduce woven fabrics typical of local culture of East Kalimantan to young people
today. This design uses the Vinod Goel method which consists of initial design, design
development, and final design. Design includes market analysis, activity studies,
ergonomics, configurations, systems, materials, shapes, and colors. Ulap Doyo which is
usually used for traditional events, will be presented more now so that it can be accepted
among young people and is expected to be a medium of introduction of Ulap Doyo to the
public in the form of design products in the form of casual bags for teenage boys. This
Casual Bag is a suitable bag to carry when traveling and gathering with relatives. Then
this bag will be one of the means of cultural recognition as well as a tool that meets the
needs of the main target market activities.
