PERANCANGAN PROTOTIPE ANTARMUKA SISTEM INFORMASI AKADEMIK (SIAK) POLITEKNIK NEGERI SAMARINDA MENGGUNAKAN METODE USER CENTERED DESIGN (UCD) --

ABSTRACT
Politeknik Negeri Samarinda (POLNES) is one of the state universities in
Samarinda, POLNES already has the POLNES Sistem Informasi Akademik (SIAK
POLNES), which is located at http://siak.polnes.ac.id:8080/ has features such as
schedule lectures, student attendance, lecturer performance questionnaires,
course grades, and data entry of Surat Keterangan Pendamping Ijazah (SKPI). In
SIAK POLNES, there are problems that were found when the authors observed
the previous system by identifying all previous system pages and conducting
usability testing using the Usability Testing method, with the unmoderated remote
technique and using the System Usability Scale (SUS) Questionnaire for the test
questionnaire. After usability testing was carried out to 50 respondents from
POLNES students, the final SUS score from usability testing was 57.75 out of 100,
the usability test results can be categorized as good if at least 68. Based on the
problems and results of the previous system usability testing, the authors
conducted research to design a prototype of the SIAK POLNES interface using the
User Centered Design (UCD) method, the UCD method was chosen because the
design process involved users. Based on the final results obtained from the
prototype design using UCD, the final SUS score from usability testing was at a
score of 78.9 out of 100. From the results obtained prove that this prototype can
increase the level of user satisfaction.
