ABSTRACT
Voice recording is usually done by several people for certain purposes and
benefits. The recorded voice usually has information that will be addressed and
conveyed to a particular party or many parties. However, there are obstacles that
are often found that often occur during the sound recording process, namely the
presence of noise or sound interference that causes the quality of the sound
recording to be less good. These problems can be overcome by denoising using a
filter using the Fast Fourier Transform and Discrete Wavelet Transform methods
to remove the noise contained in the recorded sound data. The implementation of
the calculation of the Fast Fourier Transform and Discrete Wavelet Transform
methods is used to find the average value and the maximum value or threshold.
Furthermore, values that are below the threshold will be considered as noise. The
result of this study is a graphical display that shows the original recorded voice
data, recorded voice data plus noise, and recorded voice data after filtering.
