    Applications of DC Electric Motors As A Drive for Grain Threshing Machines
    Abstract, The application of a DC electric motor as a driving force for this grain
    thresher machine uses electrical energy from a solar panel which is then stored
    into a 24 Volt 50 Ah accumulator. The observations on the driving motor carried
    out were data collection related to the value of the voltage and current generated
    by the motor, motor speed, input and output power, torque generated by the DC
    motor, and the length of time the motor worked without solar panels if no solar
    energy was obtained. The results of testing and calculations when the engine is
    run without load with a 24Volt 50Ah battery obtained an output power of 176.24
    Watt, a current of 9.15 Ampere, a motor rotational speed of 3070 RPM, and a
    thresher cylinder pulley speed of 745 RPM. In testing the machine using a grain
    load of three repetitions, the average output power of 223.55 Watts, a current of
    11.73 Ampere, a motor rotational speed of 2900 RPM, and a thresher cylinder
    pulley speed of 703 RPM, this value is influenced by the friction force of the
    grain. rice against the threshing cylinder. The estimated ability of the battery to
    run the grain threshing machine with the average current generated by the DC
    motor during load testing with grain is 3.41 hours without solar panels.
