    ABSTRACT
    The engine consists of moving metal parts such as the crankshaft, piston rod, and
    valve mechanism parts. To avoid direct contact it is necessary to provide a
    lubrication system. Lubrication of the engine is very important, because without
    lubrication the engine components will experience direct friction, causing heat and
    causing damage in the form of wear and tear which ultimately results in the life of
    the engine and its components not being durable. Generally, fluid is given between
    two moving objects to reduce friction. Disturbances that often occur in the
    lubrication system are too low oil pressure, too high oil pressure, wasteful use of
    oil, and the oil turning watery. Efforts to prevent damage to the lubrication system
    are to carry out maintenance and replacement of lubrication system components on
    the engine. Therefore, it is necessary to prove a good lubricant performance. In this
    study, an oil comparison test will be carried out on several oil samples, namely XP
    primer, shell helix and XP primer ii. Testing is done by turning on the engine to
    1000, 1500, 2000 rpm. Then it will be tested in a few minutes and then the results
    of the test will be compared and look for which one is more likely to be used on the
    2018 Toyota avanza dual vvt-i engine.
