ANALISIS PELAKSANAAN TUGAS JAGA TERHADAP ATURAN STCW 1995 DI MV GEMINI HONOR --

ABSTRACT
The duty of care is an important duty to avoid undesirable events and to avoid collision hazards while sailing or at anchor. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of the guard service against the 1995 STCW rules in the MV. GEMINI HONOR, so that the crew/ABK MV. GEMINI HONOR who carried out the guard service could fully understand their duties while on guard duty to avoid ship collisions at sea due to human error. In this final project, the writer finds out why there are obstacles in the implementation of the guard service at the MV. GEMINI HONOR, what efforts need to be made to be able to carry out the guard service in accordance with the 1995 STCW rules. The method implemented by the author in this study is a research study. Qualitative approach to the problem of observation, literature study, online data search, where observations were made during the operational activities of the ship which became the object of research. So that later solutions will be obtained that can be done to improve the ability of the crew and crew in carrying out the guard service. By carrying out these efforts, it is expected to increase the ability to carry out the guard service in accordance with the 1995 STCW rules. So that shipping activities or being anchored can run smoothly and there are no accidents on board. At the end of this thesis, the author presents conclusions and suggestions.
