    Abstract
    Grand Jatra Hotel Balikpapan is one of the 5 star hotels with international
    standard offering a luxurious concept and modern minimalist design which is
    located in the center of Balikpapan city. Business competition in the hospitality
    sector, especially in the city of Balikpapan, is very strong. Especially in the midst
    of this pandemic where companies are competing to promote hotels by offering
    attractive promos in order to attract back the attention and sympathy of hotel
    visitors. This research focuces on knowing the efforts of public relations in
    promoting hotels in the new normal era. This research uses qualitative research
    methods with collection techniques, namely interviews and observations.
    The results of this study are the public relations of Grand Jatra Hotel
    Balikpapan making maximum efforts in promoting hotels in this new normal era by
    offering attractive promos by relying on social media as promotional media due to
    limited promotional facilities in the midst of a pandemic. So that the public relations
    division is required to develop more innovation and creativity in promoting hotels
    through social media.
