    ABSTRACT
    Paving blocks are widely used in the construction sector and are one of the alternative choices for surface pavement layers. One of the uses of paving blocks in Samarinda is on the Taman Samalow ring road. However, the use of paving blocks has a drawback, namely the low ability to pass runoff water during long periods of rain. Therefore, it is necessary to make innovations in the form of porous paving. Porous paving is a ground cover that can pass water into the soil layer. However, porous paving has a low compressive strength value because it has many pores. Therefore, the addition of an added material, namely superplasticizer, was carried out to improve the quality of porous paving. This research uses Palu material and Senoni material. In this study, there are five variations, namely FP, FS, MA 25L-75P, MA 50L-50P, MA 75L-25P. This research is viewed from the value of compressive strength, flexural strength, porosity and permeability. In testing the compressive strength and flexural strength, the largest values obtained in the FP variation are 19.518 MPa and 5.531 MPa. For porosity and permeability testing, the largest values for the FS variation were 19.111% and 0.223 cm²/second. From the results of the compressive strength test, the variation of FP, MA 25L-75P, MA 50L-50P, MA 75L-25P is included in the B quality for parking equipment, while the FS variation falls into C quality for pedestrians.
