STUDI PEMILIHAN RUTE PERJALANAN DARI KOTA SAMARINDA KE KOTA TENGGARONG KALIMANTAN TIMUR BERDASARKAN WAKTU PERJALANAN LALU LINTAS --

ABSTRACT
On the way from Samarinda to Tenggarong there are different routes, the number of choices of types of traffic routes that will be taken from Samarinda to Tenggarong requires route selection. In general, the route taken by travelers in their daily activities is only the route they usually take, which is considered the shortest route based on other people's opinions, even though the route is not necessarily the best travel time. This study aims to determine the travel time of traffic in the selection of travel routes in Samarinda to Tenggarong. The method in this study was carried out by means of a trip tracking survey method that adopted a method of measuring the speed of a sample vehicle moving in a traffic flow on a road section contained in the guide and calculation of traffic travel time of Bina Marga No.001/T/BNKT/1990. This method is based on technology that collects data on speed, travel time, direction and location of moving objects using mobile time or position recording devices such as GPS Waypoints. Based on the research conducted, it can be concluded that the best route is in the morning period using route 3, the afternoon period using route 3, and the evening period using route 3. If the weather conditions are rainy, Route 2 is the best route than Route 3.
