    ABSTRACT
    The construction of highway requires good asphalt concrete to support the ability
    of the road and to improve the quality of the paved mixture one of them by adding
    additives. In addition to additives, it can also modify asphalt with materials such
    as rubber, wood powder, and plastic sacks. The method in this study was to
    conduct a series of tests on the characteristics of coarse, smooth aggregates, and
    fillers then design the composition of the AC-BC mixture and the Marshall test to
    obtain the characteristics of the sack mix and the Percentage Density Refusal test
    against obtaining Marshall's residual stability value. The levels of plastic sacks
    used are 2%, 3%, 4%, 5%, and 6%. The results showed that the use of additives in
    concrete asphalt mixtures can increase the value of stability. The stability value
    due to the addition of plastic sacks to asphalt mixtures increases compared to
    asphalt mixtures without plastic sacks. From the test obtained the optimum
    asphalt content value of 5.18% and the optimum level of plastic addition to the
    mixture.
