ABSTRACT
The Kuala Samboja Bridge is a steel frame type bridge with a span of 60 meters
located on Jalan Poros Balikpapan – Handil II, Kuala Samboja village, East
Kalimantan. As a result of traffic conditions and the increasing load of passing
vehicles around the Kuala Samboja bridge, an evaluation is needed to determine the
quality of the currently installed concrete against the concrete bridge specification
standard assuming a concrete quality of 250 Kg/cm2. This test uses a nondestructive method with Hammer Test and Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity Test tools. By
using the Hammer Test tool, 750 points were taken on the abutments and 50 points
on the bridge floor plate. Tests using the upv tool with the indirect method were
taken as many as 15 points on the abutment and 4 points on the bridge floor plate.
From the results of the hammer test test, it was obtained that the compressive
strength of the concrete on the abutments and the bridge floor slabs still met the
bridge specification standards, namely 327.08 kg/cm2 and 482.98 kg/cm2, while
the compressive strength value of the concrete from the UPV test on the abutments
and floor slabs does not meet the standard specifications of the bridge, namely
306.75 kg/cm2 and 228.41 kg/cm2.
