ABSTRACT

Peeling coconut shells conventionally used small ax or machete or knife scribe. This way often broke apart untill wasting coconut water, less secure also, and needed special skill. Furthermore coconut gratered, conventional coconut grater is operate in low productivity and less secure also. So that’s needed peeler shell and coconut grater safe and fast in process is required. The purpose design to facilitate and accelerate peeling and gratering that coconut peeler and coconut grater safe in operation. Construction machinery consist of two part paring coconut and coconut grater section. For a review peeling coconut shells are used two saw blades diameter 7 [inch] the rotating and a knife blade. Speed maximum of the saw blade 16.31 [rpm]. To review the coconut grater used the coconut a grater rollerdiameter 10 [cm] and long 20 [cm]. Speed maximum grate roller is 1400 [rpm]. Prime mover motor fuel is 3.5 [HP], 3600 [rpm]. The transmission used V belt.The result averagefor peeling coconut shell was 41 second and capacity for gratering coconut was 56,49 kg/hour.
