    ABSTRACT
    Tofu is one of the processed soybean products that has a fairly broad market segment.
    This is evidenced by the existence of various types of tofu sold in the market such as
    sumedang tofu, tofu content, and tofu pergedel. Entrepreneurs who make tofu in selili
    output on average still use manual tools, spend a lot of energy, and high production costs
    so that the process of making tofu takes a long time in the process of filtering and
    pressing tofu, so the author wants to make a filter and press the soy porridge into a tofu
    maker. tofu to be more effective, hygienic and reduce industrial production costs. The
    purpose of this research is to develop the tofu industry by carrying out an innovation
    through the thesis tool that the author made, knowing the working principle of semiautomatic-
    based tools, calculating welding on the frame, working moments of inertia and
    compressive forces, electric motors, determining the basiccalculations pulley, v-belt
    (belt), shaft, key, bearing life (bearing), bolt connection and (spring). The method used
    in this design is the method of short-range planning. The results of the research on the
    machine tool for filtering and pressing soybean porridge into tofu with a minimum
    capacity of 10 Kg per process that has been made, it is found that with the basic
    ingredients of 8 kg of soybeans, 4 tofu pans can be made with a 40 × 40 cm mold and tofu
    size of 4 × 4 cm. .
