ABSTRACT
The automatic engine is an abbreviation of the term automatic which refers to the operating system of the motorcycle gears which is automatically regulated by the vehicle engine itself. Some of these advantages also create an environment where many motorbikes are neglected. As an alternative solution to this problem, it is necessary to study the use of motor engines as boat engines. Therefore, to overcome these problems, it is necessary to have an alternative engine that is used as a boat propulsion. The goal to be achieved from this research is how to design a boat engine with and determine the speed of the boat engine using a 110 cc yamaha mio motor matic engine. Testing is done by making a boat engine consisting of a propeller shaft, boat propeller, motor engine, boat. From the results of testing tools obtained the average speed of the boat is 12.97 km / h.
