ABSTRACT
Feed is a single or mixed food ingredient, both processed and unprocessed, which is given to animals for survival, production, and reproduction. This animal feed consists of several types which will later be mixed with a mixer system with the aim of becoming homogeneous feed ingredients. Pata breeders have been using a manual system but some are using a vertical machine but the results are not as desired, so the author wishes to make a semi-automatic animal feed mixer machine tool to make it more effective, hygienic and reduce industrial production costs. As for knowing the design and manufacture of semi-automatic animal feed mixer machines. Knowing the calculation of welding, electric motors, pulleys, v-belts (v belts), chain couplings, shafts and bearings. The method used in this study is a qualitative research method. The results of the research on the semi-automatic animal feed mixer machine that has been made obtained the calculation of the output rotation on the electric motor and reducer engine is 23.3 rpm with a force that can be accepted by the shaft is 60.80 Kg. From the results of testing 15 kg of feed ingredients with 4 different types of feed, namely bran, broken corn, bama and fish meal. If the animal feed is mixed with (mixer) it produces the same result as the initial amount of the mixture. The animal feed in the mixer must be a homogeneous animal feed.
