    ABSTRACT
    Corrosion is a major problem for equipment that uses metal base materials such as cars, bridges, machinery, pipes and ships. So, it is necessary to slow down the process of destruction, one of which is to use inhibitors.
    This research studies the effect of concentration on the decrease in corrosion rate in ASTM A36 steel with weight loss calculation methods. Based on the findings of this study, the best decrease in corrosion rate on steel plates for cassava leaf extract inhibitor was at a concentration of 3%, a corrosion rate value of 2.0047 mpy and inhibitor efficiency of 81.4358%, while for blending inhibitors it was at a concentration of 0.5% with a corrosion rate value of 0.3297 mpy and inhibitor efficiency of 96.9466%. Based on the results of macro photo observations, the type of corrosion seen on the ASTM A36 steel plate is pitting corrosion.
