ABSTRACT
Briquette is a fuel that is solid and comes from the remnants of organic material which will become an alternative fuel and have a higher heating value through the carbonization process. The crisis of fuel energy and the availability of fuel oil that is currently running low have shown that it is time for us to switch to other fuels. For this reason, an alternative replacement is needed, namely to design a corncob briquette press machine and household-scale organic waste with a hydraulic system. The aim of this research is how to overcome these problems by making an automatic briquette press machine, making this corncob briquette press machine to provide convenience in mass and efficient printing, so that it will save time and effort. The method is done by making a briquette press machine which consists of the main parts, namely the frame, gearbox motor, spring, hydraulic, plate and flange. This corn cob briquette printing machine is used semi-automatically by using an electric motor as the driving force. From the results of calculations and experimental tools, the results obtained are 221 briquettes in 1 hour.
