    Study of Elevator Operation System at Zoom Mulawarman Hotel Samarinda
    Abstract, Elevator is a means of vertical transportation as a substitute for the function of the stairs in reaching each of the following floors in a multi-storey building. In the application of an elevator, a machine called an electric motor is needed. The electric motor that drives an elevator is usually a 3-phase electric motor with a different operating system or depending on the type and type of electric motor used.The lift operating system study was conducted to find out how the 5-storey lift works and the reliability of the lift. Induction motoris one type of electric motor that works on the basis of electromagnetic induction. In general, an induction motor functions to convert electrical energy into mechanical energy in the form of rotational power. The motor power at Zoom Mulawarman Hotel obtained through the calculation results is 10.403 kW and based on the field conditions the 3 phase induction motor installed is 11 kW, with the safety used, namely Miniature Circuit Breaker of 40 A as a 3-phase motor power safety and power conductor. NYY type 4x4 is used mm2.
