Study on the Use of Electric Motor 3 Phase as Mover of Chemical Pump at PT. Pertamina Hulu Mahakam Corrosion Prevention System
Abstract, Research was conducted at PT. Pertamina Hulu Mahakam, PT. Pertamina Hulu Mahakam is a state-owned company operating in the Mahakam Block operating area, the company is engaged in the oil and gas sector (oil & gas). One of the important problems that often occur in the oil and gas sector apart from sand and scale is corrosion or rust. Corrosion problems are not only caused by PT. Pertamina Hulu Mahakam which is in the sea area, but also because of the results produced from inside the reservoir. There are several corrosive gases from the reservoir such as CO2 and H2S. To prevent the process of rusting in pipes or vessels, PT. Pertamina Hulu Mahakam developed a corrosion prevention system. The corrosion prevention system works using a piston pump that is driven by a 3-phase motor with a motor power of 0.75 KW, the safety used is 3-phase MCB, 63-80 A Thermal Overload Relay and the type of conductor used is NYFGbY 3 x 120mm2.
