ABSTRACT
Widyaningrum, Cholifah Agum. "The Effect of Reward and Punishment
on the Performance of Employees of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Office
of East Kalimantan Province in 2021". Under the guidance of : Drs. Khairil Akbar,
M.Si as Guidance Lecturer I and Fariyanti, SE., M.Si as Guidance Lecturer II.
This research aims to find out: (1) The effect of reward on employee
performance (2) The effect of punishment on employee performance (3) The influence
of reward and punishment simultaneously on employee performance. The subjects of
this study were 55 respondents to the Secretariat. Research data is obtained through
documentation. This research includes quantitative research. The analysis method used
is multiple linear regression. The results showed that the correlation between reward
and punishment to employee performance was moderate. Partial hypothesis tests
showed rewards had a significant effect and punishment had no significant effect on
employee performance.

Terhadap Kinerja Pegawai Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Penataan Ruang Provinsi
Kalimantan Timur Tahun 2021”. Dibawah bimbingan : Drs. Khairil Akbar, M.Si
selaku Dosen Pembimbing I dan Fariyanri, SE., M.Si selaku Dosen Pembimbing II.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui : (1) Pengaruh pemberian reward
terhadap kinerja pegawai (2) Pengaruh pemberian punishment terhadap kinerja pegawai
(3) Pengaruh reward dan punishment secara simultan terhadap kinerja pegawai. Subyek
penelitian ini adalah 55 responden pegawai Bidang Sekretariat. Data penelitian
diperoleh melalui dokumentasi. Penelitian ini termasuk termasuk penelitian kuantitatif.
Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian
menunjukkan bahwa korelasi antara reward dan punishment terhadap kinerja pegawai
sedang. Uji hipotesis secara parsial menunjukkan reward berpengaruh signifikan dan
punishment tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan.
