PERENCANAAN ATS (AUTOMATIC TRANSFER SWITCH) BERBASIS PLC DI KANTOR TAMAN NASIONAL KUTAI KOTA BONTANG --Ed. 1

ABSTRAK
MUHAMMAD FAJAR SUBIYANTORO. Perencanaan ATS (Automatic
Transfer Switch) berbasis PLC di kantor Taman Nasional Kutai Bontang
(Dibimbing oleh Bapak Onglan N., dan Bapak Lucianus Handri G).
Listrik merupakan hal terpenting dan merupakan suatu kebutuhan,
khususnya dalam bidang industri untuk itu diperlukan catu daya cadangan yang
berupa generator set atau Genset untuk membackup suplai daya listrik utama dari
PLN, maka untuk pengoperasian dua sumber listrik dibutuhkan pengendalianan
yang baik agar suplai listrik tetap kontinyu. Sistem kontrol saat ini telah banyak
perkembangan jenis dan cara pengoperasiannya salah satunya Automatic Transfer
Switch (ATS). ATS merupakan sistem kontrol yang menjaga agar suplai energi
listrik agar tetap kontinyu yang bekerja bila suplai PLN padam maka secara
automatis genset akan mensuplai energi listrik ke beban. Agar semakin mudah
dalam pengoperasiannya ATS konvensional diganti menggunakan Programmable
Logic Controller (PLC). PLC merupakan alat yang dapat diprogram untuk
mengontrol peralatan listrik. Sistem kontrol menggunakan PLC akan lebih praktis,
efektif dan efisien ketimbang menggunakan sistem kontrol konvensional. Jadi
perubahan sistem kontrol menggunakan PLC dapat berpengaruh terhadap sistem
pengontrolan suplai energi listrik.

ABSTRACT
MUHAMMAD FAJAR SUBIYANTORO. ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch)
planning based on PLC at Kutai Bontang National Park office (Guided by Mr.
Onglan N., and Mr. Lucianus Handri G).
Electricity is the most important thing and is a necessity, especially in the
industrial field for it is necessary backup power supply in the form of generator set
or Generator set to backup the main electricity supply from PLN, so for the
operation of two power sources it takes good control to keep the power supply
continuous. The current control system has many developments of type and the way
it operates is one of them Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS). ATS is a control system
that keeps the electricity supply continuously working when the PLN supply is
extinguished then automatically the generator set will supply electrical energy to
the load. To make it easier to operate conventional ATS is replaced using the
Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). PLC is a programable tool for controlling
electrical equipment. Control systems using PLC will be more practical, effective
and efficient than using conventional control systems. So changes to the control
system using PLC can have an effect on the control system of the electricity supply.
