Abstrak, Perpustakaan Politeknik Negeri Samarinda sebagai tempat untuk membaca
membutuhkan intensitas pencahayaan yang cukup untuk mendukung akivitas
penggunanya. Pencahayaan pada ruang perpustakaan menentukan kenyamanan beraktifitas
di dalam ruangan perpustakaan bagi pemustaka. Hal ini merupakan salah satu aspek dari
pelayanan perpustakaan terhadap kepuasan dan kenyamanan pemustaka. Pada
perpustakaan Politeknik Negeri Samarinda memiliki 2 lantai dengan masing-masing
berbeda fungsi dan kegunaannya. Untuk mencukupi dengan fluks cahaya yang dibutuhkan
dapat ditentukan dengan melihat jenis lampu dan jumlah armatur serta indeks ruangan.
Pada hasil data perhitungan didapatkan jumlah titik lampu sebanyak 269 sedangkan untuk
data lapangannya sebanyak 145 titik lampu. Pada hasil pembahasan untuk data perhitungan
diperoleh daya untuk lantai 1 dan lantai 2 sebesar 39783,72 VA sedangkan data lapangan
untuk lantai 1 dan lantai 2 sebesar 37758,5 VA. Jenis penghantar pada sirkit utama yang
digunakan pada lantai 1 yaitu NYY 3×4 mm2 sedangkan untuk data perhitungan didapat
jenis penghantar dan luas penampang NYY 3×6 mm2. Kapasitas pengaman utama pada
perpustakaan Politeknik Negeri Samarinda pada Lantai 2 berbeda dengan hasil perhitungan
dikarenakan pada pengaman cabang yang terpasang salah satunya menuju gedung kelas
teknik kimia.

The Study of Lighting Installation in Samarinda State Polytechnic Library
Abstract, Samarinda State Polytechnic Library as a place to read requires sufficient
lighting intensity to support user activity. The lighting in the library room determines the
comfort of activities in the library room for users. This is one of the aspects of library
services to the satisfaction and comfort of visitors. The Samarinda State Polytechnic library
has 2 floors, each with different functions and uses. To meet the required light flux can be
determined by looking at the type of lamp and the number of armatures as well as the room
index. The results of the calculation data show that the number of light points is 269, while
the field data is 145 light points. In the results of the discussion for the calculation data,
the power for the 1st floor and 2nd floor is obtained at 39783.72 VA while the field data
for the 1st floor and 2nd floor is 37758.5 VA. The type of conductor in the main circuit used
on the 1st floor is NYY 3 × 4 mm2, while for the calculation data obtained the type of
conductor and the cross-sectional area of NYY 3 × 6 mm2. 3. The main safety capacity at
the Samarinda State Polytechnic library on the 2nd floor is different from the calculation
results because the branch security is installed, one of which is to the chemical engineering
class building
