    ABSTRAK


    DENNIUS MAULANA ARITONANG, Studi sistem pendingin generator 60 MW Donfang Electric Machinery PLTU Embalut PT CAHAYA FAJAR KALTIM (dibawah bimbingan bapak Ir. Cornelius Sarri, MT selaku pembimbing I dan bapak Onglan Nainggolan, ST., MT selaku pembimbing II). Studi sistem pendingin generator ini dilakukan di PT CAHAYA FAJAR KALTIM wilayah Kutai Kartanegara Kalimantan Timur. Perusahaan yang bergerak dalam bidang ketenagalistrikan dengan mendirikan Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Uap (PLTU) yang mempunyai kapasitas 2 X 22,5 MW dan 1 X 60 MW. Studi ini dilakukan agar mengetahui jenis dan prinsip kerja dari sistem pendingin pada generator. Generator Dongfang Electric Machinery menggunakan sistem pendingin udara tertutup dan sistem pendingin sisrkulasi air tertutup. Sistem pendingin udara tertutup meliputi kipas aksial rotor dan ventilasi udara untuk masuknya udara ke dalam generator, sedangkan sistem pendingin sirkulasi air tertutup meliputi cooling tower, motor pompa CWP, stainer, valve, pompa CWPP, temperature gauge, preassure gauge, dan tubing. Sistem pendingin udara tertutup dan sistem pendingin sirkulasi air tertutup bekerja secara bersama untuk mendinginkan generator. Untuk menentukan pompa CWPP yang berfungsi mendistribusikan air pendingin menuju generator harus diketahui ketinggian dan debit air sesuai perhitungan menentukan kapasitas pompa.

    DENNIUS MAULANA ARITONANG, The study of cooling system generators 60 MW Donfang Electric Machinery PLTU emclad PT CAHAYA FAJAR KALTIM (under the guidance of Mr. Ir.Cornelius Sarri, MT as the mentor I and Mr. Onglan Nainggolan, ST., MT as the mentor II).This generator cooling system study was conducted in PT CAHAYA FAJAR KALTIM Kutai Kartanegara Region of East Kalimantan.The company engaged in the electricity by establishing a steam power plant (PLTU) which has a capacity of 2 X 22.5 MW and 1 X 60 MW.This study was conducted in order to know the type and principle of work of cooling system in generators.Dongfang Electric Machinery Generators Use an enclosed air cooling system and a closed water-freezing cooling system.Enclosed air cooling system includes axial rotor fan and air ventilation for the inclusion of air into the generator, while the closed water circulation cooling system includes cooling tower, CWP pump motor, stainer, valve, CWPP pump, temperature gauge, Preassure gauge, and tubing.The closed air cooling system and enclosed water circulation cooling system work together to cool the generators.To determine the CWPP pump that serves to distribute cooling water to the generator should be known altitude and discharge water according to the calculation of determining the capacity of the pump.
