Desain Meja Kos Multifungsi --Ed. 1

ABSTRAK
Kamar kos adalah sebuah jasa yang menawarkan sebuah kamar atau tempat untuk
ditinggali dengan sejumlah pembayaran tertentu untuk setiap periode tertentu. Hasil
survey dari 5 tempat yang menyediakan kamar kos, didapati fasilitas yang diberikan oleh
pemilik kos hanya berupa lemari dan kasur. Dan apabila penyewa menginginkan adanya
sebuah meja maka penyewa kamar kos harus menyediakan meja tersebut secara pribadi.
Dan hasil survei dari 31 penyewa kamar kos yang rata rata adalah mahasiswa, dan
mereka membutuhkan sebuah meja yang bisa dirapihkan, multifungsi dan bisa di taruhi
barang, makanan maupun minuman. Dengan adanya permasalahan tersebut diatas maka
diperlukan desain meja yang memiliki estetika yang sesuai dengan pengguna, memiliki
tempat penyimpanan, dan mudah dan ringkas dalam penyimpaanan. Metode
perancangan yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Vinod Ghoel yaitu
Preliminary Design, Design Development, dan Final Design. Sehingga hasil
perancangan “Meja Kost Multifungsi”, pengguna dapat menggunakan meja tersebut
sesuai fungsi yaitu mengutamakaan kemudahan dalam penggunaan dan dapat
menghemat tempat namun tetap terkesan modern.

ABSTRACT
Boarding room is a service that offers a room or place to live with a certain number of
payments for each specified period. The survey results from 5 places that provide
boarding rooms, found the facilities provided by the boarding house owner only in the
form of cabinets and mattresses. And if the tenant wants a table, the tenant of the
boarding room must provide the table in person. And the results of a survey of 31
boarding room tenants who were on average students, and they need a table that can be
tidied up, multifunctional and can be bet on goods, food and drinks. With the above
mentioned problems, it is necessary to design a table that has an aesthetic that suits the
user, has a storage area, and is easy and concise in storage. The design method is done
by using the Vinod Ghoel method, which is Preliminary Design, Design Development,
dan Final Design. So that the results of the design of "Multifunctional Boarding Table",
users can use the table according to function, namely the ease of use and can save space
but still seem modern.
