ABSTRAK
Gasing atau gangsing adalah salah satu permainan tradisional masyarakat Melayu tua,
dan menyebar di beberapa daerah di belahan Nusantara, bahkan Asia Tenggara. Lewat
ajang Festival Kota Raja VI di Tenggarong, permainan gasing kembali diperkenalkan.
Masyarakat bisa menyaksikan langsung berbagai jenis gasing yang dipamerkan di
Tenggarong Fair, di halaman parkir Stadion Rondong Demang. Komunitas Keroan
Begasing Kutai hadir mempertahankan permainan tradisional yang nyaris punah. Namun
saranan bawa yang ada saat ini hanya menggunakan kantong plastik biasa atau tas ransel,
namun karena bahan dasar pembuatan gasingan ini ialah kayu terdapat beberapa masalah
mulai dari kantong plastik robek karena beban dari gasingan itu sendiri dan yang paling
serius adalah pecahnya gasing karena suhu yang terlalu panas dan benturan antara gasing
saat pembawaan. Untuk itu perlu dirancang sebuah “Sarana bawa untuk permainan
tradisional gasing Kutai”, pengguna dapat membawa dan menyimpan peralatan
permainan tradisional gasing Kutai. Dalam proses perancangan ini menggunakan metode
model Vinod Ghoel yang meliputi, preliminery design, design development, final desain
. Dilengkapi dengan konfigurasi yang teratur dan rapi, dan mengutamakan kenyamanan
dan keamanan bagi pengguna. Sehingga semua kegiatan dan aktivitas saat proses
pembawaan gasing kutai dapat terakomodir dalam tas, dengan begitu dengan adanya
“Sarana bawa untuk permainan tradisional gasing Kutai”, dapat bermanfaat bagi pemain
dan setiap komunitas gasing Kutai yang ada di Samarinda.

ABSTRACT
Gasing or slimming is one of the traditional games of the old Malay community, and
spread in several regions in the archipelago, even Southeast Asia. Through the King VI
City Festival in Tenggarong, the top game was re-introduced. The public can watch
various types of tops directly displayed at Tenggarong Fair, in the parking lot of the
Rondong Demang Stadium. The Keroan Community Begasing Kutai is here to maintain
a traditional game that is almost extinct. However, the proposition that there is currently
only using ordinary plastic bags or backpacks, but because the basic material for making
these gasings is wood, there are several problems ranging from torn plastic bags due to
the load from the gas itself and the most serious is the rupture of tops because the
temperature is too heat and collision between top when carrying. For this reason, it is
necessary to design a "Means to carry for traditional games of Kutai tops", users can
carry and store traditional game equipment for Kutai tops. In this design process using
the Vinod Ghoel model method which includes, preliminery design, design development,
final design. Equipped with a regular and neat configuration, and prioritizing comfort
and safety for users. So that all activities and activities during the process of carrying
out the top of Kutai can be accommodated in a bag, so that with the "Carrying facilities
for traditional games of Kutai tops", it can be beneficial for players and every community
of Kutai tops in Samarinda.
